Lesson 08

In this lesson, you've learned techniques for adding page headers and footers to your site. In the next lesson, you'll learn about adding columns. Figuring out what you want to put in these items isn't always easy. Typically, you want these items to show the same thing on every page within your site.

It often helps to start by sketching things out on paper. Just draw a general layout on a sheet of paper, like below. Then think about what kind of content might look good, or be useful, in your Web site. This sketch is just an example. There's no rule that says your page must have headers, footers, and a sidebar column. Use whichever elements you think might work for the site you're designing.
